CopyRefine is a set of free, privacy-first writing tools designed to help writers, marketers, and entrepreneurs polish their copy. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — no AI, no data uploads, no signup required.
Our Mission
Good writing is clear writing. But most writing tools today rely on opaque AI systems or require you to upload your content to a server. We believe writing tools should be transparent, private, and instantly accessible. CopyRefine was built on three principles:
- Privacy First: All analysis happens locally in your browser. Your text never touches a server.
- Transparent Rules: No black-box algorithms. Every detection uses plain word lists and mathematical formulas you can inspect.
- No Barriers: No accounts, no signups, no payment. Just open the page and start refining your copy.
Our Tools
Filler Word Detector
Scans your text against a library of 200+ common filler words (like "very", "really", "just", "actually") and highlights them for review. Get compression stats, unique filler counts, and targeted rewrite suggestions.
Readability Score
Calculates the Flesch Reading Ease score for any English text — a proven readability metric since 1948. Get word/sentence/syllable stats, grade-level assessment, and improvement suggestions tailored to your text.
Tone Detector
Analyzes whether your writing sounds formal, friendly, neutral, or mixed by matching words against curated formal, friendly, and negative word libraries. The libraries are open and transparent.
Privacy Commitment
CopyRefine does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We use exactly one cookie — to remember whether you accepted the cookie notice. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party scripts. Your text stays on your computer.
